Please ensure your QuickTime movies (.mov) can be launched and run properly before submitting your work - Test on a college machine (especially those of you working at home on a PC).

Please follow all naming and labelling conventions as listed on the right.

Do NOT submit .AVI movies. They will be immediately rejected.

Level 1 Submission Criteria : Semester 2 2015

Submission : Monday 20th Apr 2015
(venue: F504)

BA Level 1 : 10am - 11am

Note : F504 will be out-of-bounds to all students starting 8am, Monday 20th April. Please ensure your work is backed up as all files will be wiped from the PCs in that lab.

For submission you are required to submit a single clearly labelled and packaged DVD which should be packaged in a hard plastic DVD case with a printed cover. The text should legible and contain the following details on the outside cover.

The CDROM should be packaged in a hard plastic DVD case with a printed cover. The text should legible and contain the following details on the outside cover.

  1. The Project Title : eg "Studio Practice 2011".

Level 2 Submission Criteria : Semester 2 2015

BA Level 2 : 10am - 12noon

Note : F504 will be out-of-bounds to all students starting 8am, Monday 20th April. Please ensure your work is backed up as all files will be wiped from the PCs in that lab.

For submission you are required to submit a single clearly labelled and packaged DVD which should be packaged in a hard plastic DVD case with a printed cover. The text should legible and contain the following details on the outside cover.

For submission you are required to submit the following:

  1. Treatment
  2. CDROM

Treatment
A clearly labelled A4 printed document containing the following:

  • Title Page
  • List (table) of Content
  • Project Proposal (see top right-hand)
  • Written Synopsis of Story (1 page max with images)
  • Storyboard
  • Character Designs (line)
  • Character Designs (colour)
  • Layout Designs (line)
  • Layout Design (colour)
  • All necessary development work
  • All necessary research work

The list above is a suggested guide for the minimum requirement. If you have other material which you would like to be considered for you assessment, please include it. 3d students are encouraged to include evidence of their modelling (character & environment) and rigging.

Treatment
A clearly labelled folder containing the following:

  • Title Page
  • List(table) of Content
  • Proposal
  • Table to indicate contribution to project (%)
  • Written Synopsis of Story (2 pages max with images)
  • Storyboard
  • Character Designs (line)
  • Character Designs (colour)
  • Layout Designs (line)
  • Layout Design (colour)
  • Time line for next semesters production
  • All necessary development work
  • All necessary research work

  2. Tests - A folder containing line tests, playblasts, rigging reels etc.
    Please note, 3d students are required to include a rigging reel.
     
  3. Development - A folder containing jpeg images of all early development and supporting work. This may include sketchbook material, concept development, early tests. This folder should clearly indicate the quantity and quality of the development cycle of your project.
     
  4. Minors - A folder containing both your minor projects, 24 hour comic challenge and any additional work your produced during the academic year. This may include ZBrush sculpts, models, turntables, illustrations, animations
     
  5. Images - A folder containing a minimum of 6 hiRes jpeg images suitable for print. Resolution : 1024 * 768 pixels. (eg. robot_image01.jpg).
     
  6. ReadMe.doc - A text file containing points 1 - 6 exactly as listed above for the CDROM cover.
     
  7. Proposal.doc - A text file containing your project proposal.

Maquette Submission : Monday 4th May . Wooden base should be clearly labelled with your full name and class number.
